FROM THE ATTIC

December 22, 2017 - February 5, 2018

From the Attic features historical pieces that are in the collections of Cocke County residents. Works include paintings; drawings; painted objects; sculptural work; utilitarian objects like handmade toys, quilts, and walking sticks, clothing, and baskets; and some historic photographs. These pieces may have been created by residents themselves or by family members, friends, or known artists. The works on view have a special character that helps illustrate the creativity of our county. Andrew Suggs, Artscapes’ director, curated the exhibition.
